Intention

The most powerful and necessary ingredient to any type of magic is the intent that is put behind it. We are consistent with challenging ourselves to focus on clear intentions when conducting rituals, or even during every day interactions. We believe, that with intention, you can change the world around you and the world within you.
Have you ever been wishy washy about what you want? Do you ever catch yourself in a “victim” mentality, feeling like you are at the mercy of your surroundings? Wither you are a beginner in the craft or a more advanced practitioner, we need to always be molding, refining and refocusing our intentions. Be clear about what you want out of the day when you wake up in the morning. Even more importantly, be specific and clear about what you want working through your rituals and meditations.
Charging tools or objects with your intention is also important. Here is a quick step by step that we like to use.
Clear your mind and think about what you want this tool or object to achieve. Be sure that your intentions are pure and are only to benefit yourself and others.
- Starting from the top of your Head (Crown Chakra) and moving down towards your toes and back up through your arms, visualize and feel the energy that you are pulling from within yourself.
- As you hold the tool or object in your hand or direct your palms towards it, feel the energy and your intention flow into the object.
- As you do this, state 3 times: “I charge this (tool, object, etc) to be used for (growth, healing, etc.), for the good of all and to harm none.
After you have done this, you must know and believe that the magic that is now inside this tool or object is active and working for you. You can adjust these steps any way you want and make it your own. Practice, practice, practice.
This type of small ritual can be translated to every aspect of your life. Charge your home, your surroundings, even your feelings. We are the only ones that are in control of the world inside of us.
